1. Scope
1.1 This Standard provides performance requirements and test methods for evaluating the visibility, legibility, and power consumption of internally lighted exit signs. Visibility requirements have been developed based on assumed normal visual acuity and normal colour-sightedness in clear air at a maximum viewing distance of 30.5 m (100 ft).
