1. Scope

1.1

This Standard applies to helmets intended to provide protection for the heads of cyclists and defines the areas of the head that are to be protected. It covers the basic performance requirements for shock absorption and strength of the retention system. Marking and label requirements are also included.

Detachable visors are not covered in this Standard.
