1. Scope

This Recommendation relates to fuse-holders for miniature cartridge fuse-links for general purposes including those for general use in electronic and similar equipment.

The Recommendation applies to fuse-holders of the screw-in and bayonet type. The requirements, where appropriate, may be applied to other types of fuse-holder by agreement between manufacturer and purchaser.

This Recommendation applies to fuse-holders with a maximum rated current of 16 A and a maximum rated voltage of 1000 V a.c. and d.c.

This Standard applies to the safety of such equipment designed to be installed and used in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), Part I. Note: Manufacturers designing products for use in Canada may find a helpful summary of the equipment-related requirements of the CEC, Part I, in CSA Publication Spe-2000.

Canadian Deviations are included in this Standard. /

1. Domaine d'application

La presente recommandation s'applique aux ensembles-porteurs de cartouches de coupe-circuit miniatures a usage courant y compris l'utilisation, en general, dans le materiel electronique et le materiel d'equipement similaire.

La recommandation s'applique aux ensembles-porteurs du type a filetage interieur ou a baionnette. Les prescriptions, lorsqu'elles sont appropriees, peuvent etre appliquees a d'autres types d'ensembles-porteurs suivant un accord entre le fabricant et l'acheteur.

La presente recommandation est applicable aux ensembles-porteurs de coupe-circuit d'un courant maximal de 16 A et d'une tension maximale de 1000 V alternatif et continu.

Cette norme s'applique a la securite du materiel destine a etre installe et utilise conformement au Code canadien de l'electricite (CCE), Premiere partie. Note. Les fabricants qui concoivent des produits destines au marche canadien peuvent trouver un resume utile des exigences du CCE, Premiere partie visant ces appareils dans la publication CSA Spe-2000.
