La Norma definisce le caratteristiche, le prestazioni e le modalità di misura degli apparati video presenti in sala. Essa riporta i requisiti minimi di visione e riproduzione dell'immagine, definite indipendentemente dal loro utilizzo in ambienti mobili o fissi e tiene conto di quanto è già stato raccomandato sull'argomento in sede CCITT, CCIR e in ETSI. La Norma è strutturata in tre parti:
- nella prima si riportano le caratteristiche ambientali di una sala di videoconferenza (aspetti decorativi, illuminazione, ecc.)
- nella seconda sono esaminate le caratteristiche dei sottosistemi di sala (monitor, telecamera, ecc.)
- nella terza sono riportate le procedure di allineamento video.
La presente Norma costituisce la ristampa senza modifiche, secondo il nuovo progetto di veste editoriale, della Norma pari numero ed edizione (Fascicolo 1511).
