La Norma definisce le caratteristiche ed i metodi di prova degli apparecchi (unità od elementi funzionali) usati con i rateometri di conteggio per costituire i complessi di conteggio utilizzati nella strumentazione nucleare per la misura continua del rateo di conteggio di impulsi casuali nell'intervallo compreso fra 0,1 e 10 6 impulsi al secondo prodotti dai rivelatori di radiazione.
