La presente norma definisce il RAMS in termini di affidabilità, disponibilità, manutenibilità e sicurezza e le loro interazioni. Definisce anche un processo per la gestione del RAMS e mette in evidenza la specificità dell'ambito ferroviario.
La presente versione della Norma Tecnica incorpora l'Errata Corrige n. 1 di Maggio 2005.
