La Norma EN 50363 contiene, nelle sue varie Parti, le prescrizioni per i materiali isolanti, di guaina e di rivestimento usati per i cavi di energia a bassa tensione armonizzati, precedentemente contenute nell'HD 21 e nell'HD 22. L'Allegato A fornisce un confronto tra la collocazione originale di ciascun materiale e quella in questa nuova serie di norme EN.
L'Allegato B fornisce le caratteristiche tecniche e requisiti di prova delle mescole per isolanti e guaine per cavi energia e segnalamento, specificate dalla normativa italiana.
Il presente fascicolo riguarda le caratteristiche relative alle mescole in PVC per rivestimento.
La serie di Norme CEI EN 50363 sostituisce la CEI 20-11:2000-10.
