La presente Norma EN 50444 specifica le procedure per la valutazione all'esposizione del corpo umano ai campi elettromagnetici prodotti dalle apparecchiature per la saldatura ad arco e definisce le condizioni normalizzate d'uso e le disposizioni di prova.
La presente Norma si applica alle apparecchiature per la saldatura ad arco e processi affini concepiti per uso industriale o non industriale. Sono inclusi le sorgenti di corrente di saldatura, i dispositivi di avanzamento filo, gli ausiliari,quali ad es. le torce, i sistemi di raffreddamento a liquido e i dispositivi d'innesco e stabilizzazione dell'arco.
Questa Norma viene pubblicata dal CEI nella sola lingua inglese in quanto particolarmente mirata a settori specialistici.
