La presente Norma si applica alle apparecchiature per la saldatura a resistenza e processi affini progettate per ambienti ad uso industriale e non industriale. Essa stabilisce un appropriato metodo di valutazione atto a determinare i campi elettromagnetici nello spazio intorno alle apparecchiature e definisce le condizioni operative normalizzate e le distanze a cui eseguire le misure; provvede, inoltre, a fornire un metodo per mostrarne la conformità alle linee guida o ai requisiti riguardanti l’esposizione umana ai campi elettromagnetici.
La presente Norma viene utilizzata congiuntamente alla Norma EN 50445.
Questa Norma viene pubblicata dal CEI nella sola lingua inglese in quanto particolarmente mirata a settori specialistici.
