La presente Norma indica i metodi di misura che si applicano ai ricevitori televisivi concepiti per la ricezione di radiodiffusioni televisive che utilizzano il sistema numerico del suono a due canali. Il sistema di codifica del suono si basa sul NICAM 728 ed è trasmesso da una sottoportante numerica con modulazione QPSK (Quadrature Phase-Shift Keying).
La presente Norma costituisce la ristampa senza modifiche, secondo il nuovo progetto di veste editoriale, della Norma pari numero ed edizione (Fascicolo 2182).
