La Norma prescrive, in conformità con quanto previsto nella CEI 15-49, un metodo di prova per valutare un indice di temperatura di fili smaltati di sezione circolare e piattine, smaltati e avvolti con nastri. Non si applica a fili isolati con fibre o a fili ricoperti con nastri contenenti fibre inorganiche.
