La Norma fa parte della serie EN 60512-16, che tratta le prove meccaniche su contatti e terminazioni dei connettori di apparati elettronici di competenza del Sotto-Comitato CEI 48B.
In particolare essa definisce il metodo di prova per verificare la capacità di un componente di prova wrappato, allestito secondo quanto descritto nella Norma CEI EN 60352-1, a resistere ad una forza di strappo che agisce lungo l'asse del componente stesso.
Si noti che la prova è da considerarsi distruttiva per il componente di prova utilizzato.

La presente Norma riporta il testo in inglese e italiano della EN 60512-16-11; rispetto al precedente fascicolo n. 10057E di novembre 2009, essa contiene la traduzione completa della EN sopra indicata.
