La presente Norma riguarda la classificazione dei gruppi di parametri ambientali e loro severità ai quali i prodotti di uso domestico vengono assoggettati quando siano montati in posizione fissa in luoghi protetti dalle intemperie in relazione alla manutenzione, riparazione e condizioni d’uso, escluse quelle in o su autoveicoli.
Sono inclusi gli ambienti protetti dalle intemperie terrestri e marini, chiusi o riparati, dove i prodotti possono essere montati in modo permanente o temporaneo.
La presente Sezione si limita alle condizioni ambientali che possono influenzare direttamente il comportamento dei prodotti e non considera il microclima all’interno dei prodotti.
Non sono trattate, inoltre, le condizioni ambientali direttamente collegate ai rischi di incendio, ai rischi di esplosione e alle radiazioni ionizzanti e ad altre cause non prevedibili.
