La presente Norma riguarda le procedure di prova per le sorgenti di corrente per la saldatura ad arco e processi affini progettate secondo la EN/IEC 60974-1 o la EN/IEC 60974-8.
Le apparecchiature indipendenti, progettate secondo una parte diversa della EN/IEC 60974, possono essere provate secondo le prescrizioni della presente Parte 4.
Le procedure di prova sono relative all’ispezione periodica al fine di garantire la sicurezza elettrica dopo una riparazione e/o a seguito di manutenzione.
La Norma in oggetto sostituisce completamente la Norma CEI EN 60974-4, che rimane applicabile fino al 02-01-2014.
