La Norma definisce alcuni limiti dimensionali e proprietà di materiali di interfacce ottiche di ferule cilindriche APC 8 gradi di diametro 2,5 e 1,25 mm e di materiale composito, che rispondono a specifici requisiti di interconnessione tra fibre ottiche APC.
