La presente Variante recepisce il Corrigendum CENELEC del marzo 2005 alla Norma EN 62271-102:2002; tale Corrigendum include il testo del Corrigendum IEC n. 2 del maggio 2003 alla corrispondente Norma IEC di pari numero.
La Variante apporta precisazioni ad alcune figure relative alle prove elettrodinamiche e inoltre alle prove sulla catena cinematica di potenza, alle prove di interruzione di corrente indotta e alle prove di stabilimento e interruzione di corrente su sbarra carica.
Il Corrigendum CENELEC del marzo 2005, contenuto nella presente Variante, modifica il titolo della Norma.
