The purpose of this publication is to provide information regarding properties, production, shipping, storage, handling, and use of ammonia. It also describes regulatory requirements in the United States and in Canada as well as safety and security practices. This information is intended to complement, but not to supplant national, state, provincial, municipal, and insurance company codes or safety requirements.
