This document addresses the medical gas industry's need to ensure that storage and control systems supplying medical gases in bulk or cylinder form at health care facilities are installed and maintained in a safe and consistent manner in compliance with regulations and current good manufacturing practices (CGMP). This document establishes the minimum requirements for the installation, maintenance, and removal of the medical gas systems supplying piping systems as defined in NFPA 99.
