Where the bulk medical oxygen supply system is unable to adequately provide medical oxygen due to a change in demand, this publication provides recommendations for modifying the health care facility pipeline and/or the bulk medical oxygen supply system.

This publication does not address the capabilities of medical oxygen equipment utilized for patient treatment.
