This publication was developed to satisfy the demand for information concerning the safe generation and handling of ozone-containing gas mixtures. It presents general information on the characteristics of ozone, the means by which it can be handled safely, and the safe installation and operation of ozone-generating equipment. Intended primarily for users of ozone and manufacturers of equipment to produce ozone. It is limited to oxygen-ozone and air-ozone mixtures at a pressure of 1 atmosphere. Ozone gas mixtures above 1 atmosphere pressure are outside the scope of this document. This publication does not cover specialized technical information on specific types of ozone-generating equipment.
