This specification provides requirements for flat brushes with tapered polyester or nylon filaments for the application of paint, varnish, enamel and lacquer. It does not apply to special types of brushes such as sash tools (CGSB specification 22.3) and stencilling brushes.
Brushes made with nylon filaments are particularly suitable for use with water-based paint.
