This standard applies to three grades of oil for the lubrication of refrigeration machinery.
Oils to this standard are suitable for the lubrication of refrigeration machinery, including domestic-type refrigerators, drinking water coolers and air-conditioning units, operating on halogenated hydrocarbon refrigerants, carbon dioxide or ammonia, between temperatures of -40 and +150°C.
The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
