This standard describes the procedure recommended for application of asphalt primer covered by 37-GP-9Ma for the following uses:
a. to prime new concrete, gypsum or steel roof decks prior to application of thermal insulation and/or asphalt built-up roofing.
b. to treat weathered surfaces of asphalt roofing prior to either recovering with a new asphalt roofing sheet, or recoating with a filled roof coating, either asphalt cutback or emulsified asphalt.
c. to prime concrete or masonry prior to application of 37-GP-6Ma cutback asphalt dampproofing and prior to the application of 37-GP-16M fibrated cutback asphalt or 37-GP-2M emulsified asphalt waterproofing membranes.
