This standard applies to large diameter polyethylene pipe (90 mm or larger) designed for the transport of liquids and slurries. The pipe may be used for other fluids, where selections of pipe compatible with the system design can be achieved.
Polyethylene pipe of a dimensional system other than that contemplated by this standard may be considered acceptable by the authority applying this standard provided that the supplier certifies that it meets all the other requirements of this standard.
