This standard specifies the requirements for the reconditioning, remanufacturing and
repair of steel and plastic drums for the transportation of dangerous goods. This standard consists of three parts and one appendix. Part I specifies the general requirements for drum eligibility, and a registered facility's quality management system. Part II specifies the requirements for the reconditioning, remanufacturing and repair of steel drums. Part III specifies the requirements for the reconditioning and remanufacturing of plastic drums. Appendix A specifies the requirements for the registration of remanufacturing, reconditioning and repair facilities and of reconditioning facilities' symbols with Transport Canada.
