SCOPE
This standard covers the performance requirements of two types of sheet materials suitable for use in controlling the movement of water vapor in building construction.
Material to this standard is primarily intended for use in above-grade building construction and on the interior of below grade building construction. This standard is not inteded to apply to vapor barrier materials for use under concrete slabs or as ground cover in crawl spaces. For more information on uses see par. 9.2.
