It has a 4x4 chassis (unless otherwise specified as a 4x2 chassis) with a diesel engine and an
automatic transmission; a cab to accommodate at least three seated persons with four doors; and
a utility body. The medium rescue truck is intended to stow and transport forcible entry
equipment, and rescue equipment. It is also intended to transport personnel for hazardous
materials mitigation and containment. Transported personnel are also expected to perform
structural, automotive, and aircraft occupant rescue, in both on- and off-road environments.
