CID A-A-59818C covers a commercial light Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle designed for rapid intervention. It has a 4x4 chassis; a diesel engine; an automatic transmission; a three person cab with at least two passenger doors and two access doors. The vehicle is equipped with an ultra high pressure (UHP) firefighting system with a minimum 400 gallon capacity water tank; equipment compartments; a front mounted bumper turret, and fire hose. The ARFF vehicle is capable of extinguishing aircraft, aircraft fuel, and weapon system fires associated with airfield and flight line operations. The ARFF vehicle is intended to carry limited rescue and firefighting equipment for rescuing occupants and combating aircraft fires.
