Summarizes the investigation of project complexity, an attribute that is frequently blamed when a project does not achieve cost, schedule, or functional objectives, yet that is poorly understood and seldom quantified. Shows how the research team devised a method for measuring project complexity, determined how complexity drives project-related decisions, and then developed a Microsoft® Excel-based tool that enables teams to control the drivers of project complexity and to manage and mitigate the risks they pose.
