Fibre Reinforced Cement and Concretes: Recent developments PDF

A method for optimizing the compositions of metallic-fibre-reinforced concretes (MERC) is proposed. It involves optimizing the granular skeletons of these concretes for the desired workability. The method is applied to the compositions of fibre-reinforced concretes for use in reinforced concrete structures. The metallic fibres investigated are Dramix steel fibres from Bekaert and metallic glass ribbons developed at the Pont-a-Mousson Research Centre (St Gobain Inc. , France)
