Scope
1.1.1
This standard applies to propane and natural gas-fired unattended portable type infra-red heaters (see Definitions, Part III), hereinafter referred to as heaters with gas inputs up to and including 400 000 Btuh (117.23 kW).
1.1.2
The standard applies to portable unvented infra-red heaters used primarily for temporary heating purposes.
1.1.3
Portable type unvented infra-red heaters which comply with these provisions shall not be acceptable if they have features which impair the results contemplated by the provisions.
