Scope
Details test and examination criteria for gas appliance connectors consisting of flexible tubing and having a fitting at each end provided with standard pipe threads for connecting to a gas appliance and to gas supply piping.
Such connectors are sui table for connecting gas-fired food service equipment that may be mounted on casters or otherwise subject to movement for cleaning, and with large and heavy gas-fired equipment that may be moved.
These connectors are suitable for use with natural, manufactured or mixed gases, liquefied petroleum gases, or LP gas-air mixtures, at pressures not in excess of 1/2 psi (3.5 kPa).
These connectors are limited to a maximum length of 6 feet (1.83 m).
This standard does not apply to gas appliance connectors covered under ANSI Z21.24/CSA 6.10 or ANSI Z21.54/CSA 8.4.
