Scope
Details test and examination criteria for gas hose connectors suitable for outdoor use which depend for gastightness on the wall structure of the hose material.
Such connectors are suitable for connecting portable outdoor gas-fired appliances to fix ed gas supply lines containing natural, manufactured or mixed gases, liquefied petroleum gases or LP gas-air mixtures at pressures not in excess of 1/2 psi (3.45 kPa).
These connectors are intended for use in unconcealed outdoor locations where they will not be likely to be subject to excessive temperatures [above 200?F (93.5?C)].
This standard does not apply to gas appliance connectors covered under ANSI Z21.2, ANSI Z21.24/CSA 6.10 or ANSI Z21.69/CSA 6.16.
