Details test and examination criteria for individual automatic valves, valves utilized as parts of automatic gas ignition systems, or the automatic valve functions of combination controls, which have maximum operating pressure ratings of 1/2 psi, 2 psi, 5 psi, or higher than 5 psi in 5 psi increments up to and including a maximum operating pressure of 60 psi. This standard does not apply to self-contained automatic gas shutoff valves for hot water supply systems.
