Details test and examination criteria for line pressure regulators, either individual or in combination with other pressure protection devices intended for application in natural gas piping systems between the service regulator and the gas appliance's). This standard applies to regulators rated at 2, 5, or 10 psi with maximum outlet pressure of 1/2 psi or 2 psi, depending on the intended application. Regulators covered by this standard are intended to be used in one or more of the following applications: 1) upright, 2) horizontal, 3) vertical, 4) limited horizontal and 5) multi-poise.
