1. Scope
1.1
This Standard covers the installation of asbestos cement drain, waste, and vent systems for domestic, industrial, and commercial plumbing.
1.2
This Standard includes handling instructions, installation instructions, special environmental conditions, workmanship and assembly, testing, and inspection. It covers the type of laying conditions most commonly encountered in practice. In addition to the procedures in this Standard, the instructions of the pipe and fittings manufacturers should be followed.
1.3
Requirements for raw material, physical properties, and dimensions of pipe and fittings are covered in CSA Standard B127.1, Components for Use in Asbestos Cement Drain, Waste and Vent Systems.
