1. Scope
1.1 This Code applies to the installation of NGV fuel system components and containers on highway vehicles for the provision of motive power.
1.2 This Code does not apply to (a) NGV refuelling stations which may be employed for fleet and public dispensing operations; (b) storage and handling of liquefied natural gas or underground reservoirs for natural gas; (c) the storage and utilization of compressed natural gas on boats; (d) the installation of NGV fuel systems and containers installed during the manufacture of motor vehicles originally manufactured in compliance with the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for Compressed Natural Gas Fuelled Vehicles; and (e) vehicle refuelling appliances without storage.
1.3 Where the term ""gas"" is used, in this Code it means Natural Gas for Vehicles (NGV).
