CSA B149 HB-05 PDF

This is the fourth edition of CSA's B149HB, Natural Gas and Propane Code Handbook. It supersedes the previous editions, published in 2000 by CSA and in 1995 and 1991 by the Canadian Gas Association.

1. SCOPE

The scope of this handbook is limited to Clauses 1 through 8, inclusive, of the CSA-B149.1-05 Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code, and selected parts of the CSA-B149.2-05 Propane Storage and Handling Code. The handbook follows the sequence of the B149.1-05 Code from clauses 1. Scope to 8. Venting Systems and Air Supply for Appliances, inclusive. Corresponding requirements from the B149.2-05 Code have been included in this edition so that handbook users are provided with relevant information on requirements governing most typical natural gas and propane installations.

Due to the differences in the physical nature of natural gas and propane, separate requirements are denoted in the Code. These differences between requirements should not be confused in practice.
