1. Scope
1.1
This Standard applies to flexible liquid-tight nonmetallic conduit and fittings in trade sizes 3/8 to 2 intended for use as a raceway for the installation of conductors in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, for nonhazardous locations.
1.2
Flexible liquid-tight nonmetallic conduit covered by this Standard has a reasonably smooth interior, is liquid-tight, available in Types A and B constructions, and is provided in a ther moplastic that is recognized for use at a maximum continuous operating temperature of 75?C and a minimum working temperature of -18?C.
1.3
Conduit covered by this Standard is suitable for use with associated fittings as follows: (a) for Type A conduit, fittings identified by the marking specified in Clause 5.2.1(d); (b) for Type B conduit, standard metal or nonmetallic fittings for u se with any standard flexible liquid-tight conduit identified by the marking requirements as specified in Clause 5.2.1(e), except that standard metal fittings for flexible liquid-tight metal conduit may or may not be identified by such markings.
