1. Scope
1.1
This Standard applies to panelboards and enclosed panelboards, rated 600 V and less, for use in nonhazardous locations in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, to provide overcurrent protection for a number of circuits.
1.2
Clauses 1 to 6 apply to panelboards and enclosed panelboards of other than the service entrance type and apply, unless otherwise noted, to the panelboards covered by Clauses 7 and 8 as follows: (a) Clause 7 - Panelboards for service entrance use; and (b) Clause 8 - Custom-built panelboard assemblies.
1.3
This Standard covers the construction of the synthetic fuses to be used in the simulated load cycle test on fusible panelboar ds (see Clause 9).
