1. Scope
1.1
These requirements apply to underfloor raceways intended to be installed within the concrete slab, or other flooring material, in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
1.2
This Standard does not include requirements for the struct ural aspects nor for the effect on the fire resistance rating of the floor in which the system is installed.
1.3
These requirements do not apply to cellular metal and cellular concrete floor raceways covered by CSA Standard C22.2 No. 79, Cellular Metal and Cellular Concrete Floor Raceways and Fittings.
1.4
These requirements do not apply to raceways installed on the underside of the slab which are considered wireways covered by CSA Standard C22.2 No. 26, Wireways, Auxiliary Gutters, and A ssociated Fittings.
