1. Scope
1.1
This Standard applies to line-voltage wall thermostats, as defined in Clause 2.1, rated 300 V and less, complying with the requirements of CSA Standard C22.2 No. 24, Temperature- Indicating and -Regulating Equipment, and intended to be used for direct switching of a controlled resistive heating load.
1.2
This Standard covers definitions, performance requirements, marking, tests, and test equipment, and establishes minimum requirements for performance of line-voltage wall thermostats.
Note: The test conditions of Table 1 attempt to simulate a room having minimum furnishings and isolated from the other living areas. It would be an error to directly relate the performance figures generated in this Standard to actual conditions.
