1. Purpose and Scope
1.1
This Standard provides definitions, performance criteria, and test procedures for cabs (enclosures) used on agricultural tractors and self-propelled machines to replace or supplement specified personal protective equipment required when the machines operate in an environment where agricultural pesticides are present.
1.2
Annex A is included to identify references used in the development of this Standard. It is informative and not consider ed part of this Standard.
1.3
The scope of part I of this Standard is limited to terminology, definitions, performance criteria, test criteria, and g eneral safe operating practices. When compliance to this Standard is achieved, the cab may be used in lieu of personal protective equipment specified in the use directions on the pesticide label. The scope of this Standard covers pesticides, excluding fumigants.
