This is the first edition of CSA Z107.10, Guide for the use of acoustical Standards in Canada.

1 Scope

1.1
This Guide describes international acoustical and noise control Standards recommended for use in Canada. In addition, recommendations are provided for the appropriate application and use of each Standard.

The acoustical and noise control Standards described in this Guide are from the following acoustical fields:
(a) terminology (Clause 2);
(b) building acoustics (Clause 3);
(c) acoustical measuring equipment and calibration (Clause 4);
(d) environmental noise (Clause 5);
(e) hearing measurement and protection (Clause 6);
(f) human exposure to vibration (Clause 7);
(g) industrial noise (Clause 8);
(h) noise from powered machines - construction and agriculture (Clause 9); and
(i) transportation noise (Clause 10).
