Scope
1.1
This Standard applies to all nonprescription sunglasses, having lenses of substantially plano power, normally used where safety eyewear is not specifically recommended.
1.2
This Standard provides requirements for transmittance of ultraviolet radiation and visible light, qualification of lens types, impact resistance, cosmetic quality, refractive properties, lens warpage, and labelling.
1.3
This Standard does not apply to products covered by CSA Standards CAN/CSA-Z94.3 and Preliminary Standard P400.
1.4
Sunglass needs for aphakics may not be met by this Standard.
