This European Standard specifies the method to be used to select, prepare condition and test samples of gaskets or weatherstripping, to determine the force required to compress or deflect them by a predetermined amount to their minimum working width, under the conditions laid down for the test. Examples of determining the working range of typical gaskets and weatherstripping are shown in annex A.
