This standard describes methods and acceptance criteria for verifying the performance of ultrasonic equipment (i.e. instrument and probe combined as defined in prEN 12668-1:1999 and prEN 12668-2:1998) by the use of appropriate standard calibration blocks. The requirements of EN 12668-3:2000 do not apply to combined special ultrasonic thickness measuring instrument.
