This European Standard specifies the requirements and test methods for the construction, safety, marking and rational use of energy of independent gas-fired convection heating appliances that are fitted with fan-assisted atmospheric burners, or fully pre-mixed burners. This standard is applicable to independent convection heaters, burning gas having a fan to assist the transportation of combustion air and/or flue gases, hereafter reffered to as 'appliances': - that are types B(12), B (13), B(14), B(22), B(23), C(12), C(13), C(32), C(33), C(42), C(43), C(52), C(53), C(62) and C(63); - that are wall mounted, free-standing or built in; - that have a nominal heat input not exceeding 20 kW (based on the net calorific value); In addition, this standard is applicable to live fuel effect appliances.
