This standard specifies the conditions under which the foaming power of surfactants themselves and that of formulations produced from surfactants can be determined. The special advantage of this beating method of foam determination is to yield comparable, parallel values for up to six surfactant solutions. In the same manner the stability/foam decomposition of this wet-foam, or its behaviour under stress, can be observed (water hardness, defoamer, fats etc.).
