This standard describes a quantitative method for the measurement of adhesion of metallic and other inorganic coatings applied to metallic surfaces. Typical coatings for which this standard applies are copper, nickel, nickel plus chromium, silver, tin, tin-nickel alloys, zinc, gold. This standard does not apply to certain hot dip, spray and mechanical coatings.
